Mission Statement:
Provide gear and design consultation, on site fabrication for the temporary or permanent installation of lighting, sound, video and special effects for the entertainment industry. Shur-Rig wants to accomplish this at the highest of industry standards.
Who we are:
I have been involved in overhead construction since 1980. This experience has included Radio and microwave systems, outdoor staging and roof systems, rigging for major motion pictures. I have practiced rope access techniques for more than 25years. I attended the first CM motor school held by our industry. I have also pushed for compliance for fall protection in the Rigging Community.
Why we are here:
Austin is known as the music capital. We have seen significant growth in the number of larger venue spaces coming on line. There is also an increase in the size and number of festivals being held in and around Texas .The movie and broadcast productions have found a welcome home in our state. Convention and tradeshow centers are growing by acres. Places of Worship are now becoming one of the largest users of lighting, sound and video production.
